The Ideal

We were mucking around the pharmacy one day. We were all heading off to lunch pretty soon and while chatting along, getting our purses ready for a lunch out, I noticed someone left the ideal weight calculator on the screen.

Now this Ideal Weight Calculator is just one of the online clinical tools, along with the Glomerular Filtration Rate, Creatinine Clearance, Body Surface Area Calculator, used in the Pharmacy to figure out the right dose for a patient. I've seen this tool countless of times but because we were mindlessly chatting, it occurred to me to "hey, why don't I try to figure out my ideal body weight."

To start off this train of thought, I'm happy and contented with my current weight of 54 kilos. I'm done struggling with weight issues and fit well into a size 8. As long as I feel happy and healthy, that's all that matters.

But I had to play around with this tool and it told me my ideal weight should be 48 kilos!! Forty-bloody-eight kilos.

Seriously?! This has got me thinking now.
